The Sober Parrot will be banishing the January Blues by hosting a festival to celebrate the mind, body and soul
The Sober Parrot (the South West’s first alcohol free bar) will be holding a four-day festival from 31 January until 2 February. The festival aims to be a one-stop shop for enriching the mind, body and soul. Each day features different interactive workshops and activities with a side order of mouth-watering food and drinks.
Each day of the festival focuses on different aspects of wellbeing including exploring subjects such as the Science of Happiness, and body image, as well as interactive yoga and dance sessions including a sober dance party on Friday evening and a family-sized digital detox on Sunday.
The Sober Parrot is Cheltenham’s and the South West’s only not-for-profit, charity run café by day and dry bar and live entertainment venue by night. It is part of The Hub Enterprises and is owned and operated by Stroud based charity, The Nelson Trust.
The Sober Parrot serves wholesome, healthy, delectable lunches during the week from 12pm-3pm. It also has a beautifully curated brunch menu during weekends from 10am-3pm. On Friday nights it runs a dry bar offering mocktails, alcohol-free beer and wine.
The Sober Parrot Festival Day tickets will be available on Facebook and can be purchased from the website www.thesoberparrot.com. The donation tickets have a suggested price of £15 per day.
Please note that some workshops need to be booked in advance, others will be on a first come first served basis. Please visit www.thesoberparrot.com for more information and booking.
