There’s plenty happening in Cheltenham this February half-term. We pick 7 family-friendly events to keep kids entertained during the holidays

Lambing Live at Court Farm Shop

February 18 - 23

Court Farm Shop is opening up its barns this half term for families to come and learn all about seasonal farming. This is a great opportunity to bottle-feed the cute new arrivals, take a short trailer ride and discover what life is like on the farm. All children will receive a goody bag to take home and if you’re super lucky, you might even get to see a lamb being born.

Ticket prices start at £5 per adult and £3 per child depending on the type of tour you want to take. Tickets can be purchased from the farm shop or over the phone on 01242 678374.

Enchanted Gardens at Holst Birthplace Museum

February 19

Did you know the Victorians loved making fairy gardens? Holst Birthplace Museum are hosting a creative workshop where you can come and make your very own enchanted garden model. Please drop in between 11am and 3pm and donations to the museum are very welcome.

Stories, crafts and fun with the Snow Queen

February 20

The Snow Queen will be visiting Smokey Joe’s Coffee Bar for frosty fun this February half term.

This will include making snowflakes, penguins, winter trees and much more. She will also be reading some lovely winter stories and there will be plenty of wonderful photo opportunities.

Tickets are just £3 per child and can be purchased in advance or on the day.

Welly Walks in Pittville Park

February 22, 23, 24

Get your wellies on and prepare to get dirty hands at Pittville Park this half term. The Boathouse will be leading a discovery walk through the park searching high and low for creepy crawlies and all things squelchy! The walk will include an activity pack full of goodies. Nature activity packs cost £3 per child, with additional siblings costing £2.

Spaces are limited to 20 children per walk and walks will run on a first come, first served basis on the day.

Antarctic Adventurers at The Wilson

February 22 - 23

Calling all budding adventurers! Head to The Wilson this half term and find out what life was like for Shackleton and his crew with the Antarctic Adventurers at the only polar exploration re-enactment group in the World. The Foyle Learning Centre will transform into a walk-in tent with an interactive drop-in session full of history and learning for families. Tickets cost just £2, children free.

First session: 10am - 12.30pm

Second session: 2pm - 4.30pm

CheltRocks Family Fun Day at Cleeve Common

February 23

CheltRocks will be decorating rocks in the warmth of the Golf Club before heading out on a walk to hide them for others to find. There’s no artistic talent required, just creativity! Painting starts at 2pm and all resources are provided.

Wear old clothes and make sure you have something warm for the walk afterwards. Everyone who would like to paint a rock will need to buy a ticket.
