If you planned trying something different this year, why not give croquet a go?
Fancy turning your hand to a traditional, quintessentially British sport? Cheltenham Croquet Club, one of the largest and oldest of its kind in Britain, will be holding two taster days this spring. The first will take place on Sunday April 7 and the second on Sunday May 12 (which is also National Croquet Day). Both taster days run from 10am-3pm.
To book a one hour slot, with tuition and equipment provided, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Flat shoes and waterproofs are advised for wet weather.
Cheltenham Croquet Club, on the Old Bath Road, has eleven full size lawns and a practice area, with members of all ages coming together to play croquet. The club has also hosted a number of championships over the years.
