Still looking for a great party to see in 2019? Cheltenham has plenty of great places to spend New Year’s Eve. Here’s our pick of the best...
New Year’s Eve at The Frog And Fiddle
New Year’s Eve at The Frog and Fiddle takes us back to the eighties and nineties with non-stop pop, rock and singalongs in both The Barn and main bar.
Tickets are a steal at just £3 each or £5 on the door. Capacity is limited so booking in advance is highly recommended. This event is for over 18’s only.
School of Rock Party at 2 Pigs
See in 2019 with a School of Rock themed party at the 2 Pigs. Expect cheesy school-themed decorations, novelty chalk boards and giveaways for the best dancers and best dressed. And don’t miss the tuck shop!
To fit in with the theme of the party, DJs will be playing plenty of alternative rock tunes all night and they are very welcome to requests. Tickets are £7 in advance or £10 on the door.
New Year’s Eve at The Vine
The Cheltenham Underground and The Vine combine forces for New Year’s Eve this year to host a night of hip-hop and funk with DJ sets from local duo JPDL and Yogi beats. Best of all, entry to this event is completely FREE.
Funk, Soul and Motown party at Cheltenham Town Hall
There are still tickets left for one of the biggest parties taking place in Cheltenham this New Year’s Eve. There are three sets of tickets available, offering either a three-course or two-course meal, or just entry to the party.
The evening will be filled with funk and soul of the American sixties, Motown Magic and disco. Get your tickets here: www.cheltenhamtownhall.org.uk/nye/
Down The Rabbit Hole at The Bottle of Sauce
The Bottle of Sauce will be unrecognisable this New Year as it transforms into the ultimate Alice in Wonderland experience for one night only. Punters can play Flamingo Crazy Golf, drink themed cocktails and take part in a Mad Hatter’s tea party.
Whilst fancy dress is not essential, we recommend dressing up to embrace the full Alice in Wonderland theme. Early bird tickets are just £6 and can be purchased from behind the bar. Doors open at 9pm and the event runs right through until 4am with free baps handed out at midnight to keep you going.
New Year’s Eve at Purslane
Calling all foodies! If you’re looking for a more relaxed affair this year, join Purslane for a delicious evening filled with fine wine and a seven course meal. The evening starts at 7pm with the first course served at 7.30pm. You’ll be finished in time to see in midnight at home or diners are welcome to countdown in the restaurant.
Tables are booking up fast so make sure you reserve your spot as soon as possible.
New Year’s Eve at Memsahib Gin and Tea Bar
The Memsahib Gin and Tea Bar is a recent addition to Cheltenham’s food and drink scene but it has had a profound impact already. The great news is the bar will be open for New Year’s Eve celebrations and entry is completely free. Ango-Indian inspired dishes will be served all evening and there are more than 55 gins to choose from. Book early to avoid disappointment and you could be one of the first people to spend New Year’s Eve at the Memsahib Gin and Tea Bar.
New Year’s Eve at The Strand
The choice of music will be in your hands at The Strand as guests will be the Secret DJ (meaning you can pick the cheesiest of songs and nobody will know it was you – make our choice Dancing Queen please!).
Another exciting addition to the evening will be the ‘Drinks on the House’ promotion where every half an hour will see the spin of the wheel and if your table is selected you will win a round of drinks to the table up to the value of £25.
There is no cost to spend New Year’s Eve at The Strand and they’ll even throw in some free nibbles at midnight.
